Artist Sandra Taylor / Hedges
Sandra is a Graduate with Distinction from St. Lawrence College's Fine Arts Program and has studied watercolor appliction in the United States for many years from Artists such as Don Andrews and Alex Powers.
Sandra has been teaching painting & sculpting to beginners and advanced artists for over 16 years in her Studio and for the WMCA of Canada.
Sandra originally from the Toronto, Canada area recently moved her studio to the Cornwall  when her husband retired.  In Cornwall she discovered a strong and varied art community that consists of both French and English cultures that have found a common ground.
Sandra serves on the board of Directors of the Focus Art Association a group that works hard to set up opportunities for all levels of artists to show their work to the community.
Studio One Cat Squared was named after a painting that she created in Art College that was done tongue in cheek when studying Abstract Art.  While creating the piece she discovered a new found respect for the Abstract painting movement and realised that abstract art is not as easy as it may seem as it depends a great deal on all the elements of design.
Because of her work with the "Family of Women" in Toronto Sandra has developed a workshop for women artists that focuses on relationships with other woman artists, relationships that will support and build up the self esteem of each woman, and help her to have confidence in herself and her art.
Sandra shows her art in both Canada and the USA
